How to Create a Class Start/Drop Date Policy

  1. Click Classes > Class Admin from the left navigation menu.

  2. Click Settings > Start/Drop Policies from the top horizontal menu.

  3. Click New Policy.

    • Edit an existing policy by clicking the policy's name.

  4. Fill out the form as required/desired.

    • Give the policy a name. [Required]

    • Choose if and how accounts may edit the start and end dates.

      • During Registration - allows the account to choose/edit dates during registration.

      • After Registration - accounts can change dates once registration is completed.

    • Enter the Maximum Future Registration Limit. [Required] -

      • Limits the days past a class beginning that a registrant can choose as their start date.

    • Choose the Future Registration Availablity.

      • Choose All future registrations count against registration limit if someone should take up a registration slot.

      • Choose Only future registrations within lookahead period count against registration limit if someone should take up a slot as long as their start date falls within the "Number of days to look ahead".

  5. When finished, click Save.

How to Assign the Class Start/Drop Date Policy

Once the policy has been created, it can be assigned to a sub-program or individually to a Class.

How to Assign to a Sub-Program

The start/drop date policy will apply to all classes under the program.

  1. Click Classes > Class Admin from the left navigation menu.

  2. From the top, horizontal navigation, click Settings > Sub Program.

  3. Click the Sub Program's "Name".

  4. From the Start/Drop Date Policies drop-down, choose the Policy you would like to use for all of the sub-program's classes.

  5. Click Save.

How to Assign to a Class

The start/drop date policy will apply only to this class.

  1. Click Classes > Class Admin from the left navigation menu.

  2. From the top horizontal navigation, click Classes.

  3. To the left of the class name, click the Settings icon.

  4. From the top tabs, click Class Date/Time.

  5. From the Start/Drop Dates Policy, select Use a custom Start/Drop Dates Policy.

  6. Choose the policy you'd like to use for this class.

  7. Click Save & Close.

How to Edit The Class Start/Drop Date

If the class has Start/Drop Dates enabled, the member's status can be reviewed, and their start/drop date may be edited.

  1. Navigate to Classes > Class Admin.

  2. From the top horizontal menu, click Classes.

  3. Click the Settings icon to the left of the class name.

  4. From the top tabs, click Registrations.

  5. If desired, filter members to view those with a future status.

  6. To the right of the member/account, under Start/Drop Date, click the calendar icon for either date.

  7. Use the calendar to choose a new start or drop date. The selection is saved automatically.

View the Class Start/Drop Date

From Attendance

  1. Navigate to Classes > Class Admin.

  2. From the top horizontal menu, click Classes.

  3. Click the Settings icon to the left of the class name.

  4. From the top tabs, click Attendance.

  5. The Start/Drop Date column shows the dates a student will start and/or drop the class.

From the New Registrations Report

  1. Navigate to Classes > Class Admin.

  2. From the top horizontal menu, click Reports > New Registrations.

  3. If desired, you can filter this report by class/program or by status.
