How to Add and Verify Your Mobile Phone for SMS/Text Communications

Communication via text is critical to your team's ability to stay in contact with you.

  1. On a browser, navigate to your team's website and click Sign In.

  2. Follow the prompts to sign in to your account.

  3. Click My Account > Account Info in the left-hand navigation menu.

  4. To add an athlete's Mobile/SMS number, click the Members tab and click the member's name.

  5. Enter the mobile phone number and select the carrier.

  6. Click Save in the bottom right to send the verification text.

  7. On your phone, locate the Verify your SMS text where the alias is your team's, and open the link to verify.

    • Some cell carriers can take a while to deliver the message.

    • You should have one of three possible messages.

      • "Success! We have validated your primary SMS." (or "secondary SMS"). The number is verified and ready to receive text communications from the team.

      • "Sorry, your primary SMS has already been validated." Opening the text can, occasionally, verify the number, resulting in this message. The SMS number is verified and ready to receive texts from the team.

      • "Sorry, the code XXXX did not match any codes." Continue to the troubleshooting section.

      • If tapping the link doesn't work, note the four-digit code number in the text message, navigate to your Account info, click Unverified, enter the code, and click Verify.

How to Troubleshoot SMS Verification

If you never receive the message, try the steps below:

  1. Delete the number.

  2. Set the Carrier to None.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Repeat steps 3-6 above.

If your code doesn't match, follow the steps below:

  1. If your code does not match any codes, click Resend Verification.

  2. Click My Account > Account Info.

  3. Click Unverified.

  4. Enter the four-digit code from your text message in the Verification Code field and click Verify.

  5. You will see Verified in green above the SMS number.

    • You may need to refresh the screen to see it.
