WHAT IS THE CALIFORNIA CONSUMER PRIVACY ACT (CCPA)?

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to request:

  • Access to certain personal information.

  • For the business to delete this data; and

  • Termination of the sale of their personal information to third parties.

WHEN DOES CCPA GO INTO EFFECT?

CCPA goes into effect on January 1, 2020.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Personal information includes both direct information such as name, address, and phone number AND indirect information such as IP address, IDFA’s, and household level data.

WHAT IS A COMPANY’S OBLIGATION REGARDING MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

Companies must fulfill certain individual requests, such as access, deletion, and Do Not Sell My Personal Information Requests. Companies also have a responsibility to ensure third parties and service providers are responsible with your data.

HOW DO I VIEW MY INFORMATION, REQUEST MY INFORMATION BE DELETED OR MAKE A DO NOT SELL REQUEST?
